Dearest Ones,
Our lives, for the most part, are made up of doing little things. This is the essence of our lives. It is also a challenge, because doing little things can become boring and monotonous. There is a way for life not to be boring - that way is to do little things for the love of God. If we do this, the boredom goes away and life becomes glorious. Then a day at the computer when your back is aching and your mind reeling with tiredness is a day that has saved many souls. How many, God alone knows.
If we don't bother to offer our daily works to God, then it is a wasted day. I try to remember first thing in the morning to offer to God my actions of the day. What a tragic thought that one of the most precious gifts from God - time - has been wasted. How precious is time! Who of us would want to meet the sad eyes of Jesus on judgment day with the amount of time we have wasted. It's the little things that can destroy a family. How quickly tensions, irritations, backbiting and flaring tempers can follow. Little things like saying, "I'm sorry," or "Please forgive me," can make all the difference in the world.
Things that seem so small - making a bed, preparing a meal, etc., can be the means of some poor soul getting into heaven. We are here in this world to give our lives to Christ. We must be the light that others see. The little things will become big because they are done for God and He uses them to rescue souls. You pick up after someone, but you must do it with a heart of love or it is worthless. We show our love for God by showing love to our brothers and sisters. How else can we show our love?
Never think of your life as boring. Think of it as an intimate friendship with Jesus. Look at what He has done for us. Try every minute to put a little grain of sand before the altar and before you die, you might have a mountain to offer. Nothing is too small to offer Him!

To do the will of God every minute, that is our ticket to heaven. You may be crucified with words that will break your heart, but remember, Jesus had this experience, too, and He is God. People will doubt you and make fun of you - they did this to Jesus, too. He still loved them and forgave them, as we must do, too.
What can a little person do for our great God? Everything! From shutting off a light, to fasting from spending money in the mall, to serving a meal - all can be offered in love. God is love and He is right there when we give our all to Him. God is real and He loves us tremendously. He has given His life for us.
Remember to serve all. Look on all you meet as guests to be treated with love. Be ever ready to do all you can for others. When you serve others, you are imitating our Lord who washed His disciples' feet. In loving others, we are loving our Savior. All of us CAN, but not all of us WILL. Which one will you be?
All my love and prayers,
Sister Francelle
